SAVE THE GCI AMPHITHEATRE

Preserving a safe space for all to enjoy!

ABOUT OUR TEAM

We are a group of former students and local advocates who are fighting to preserve the Galt Collegiate Institute & Community Amphitheatre. Today's students have not been able to utilize the amphitheatre in the same ways that had such an impact on our generation.

With the help of community minded individuals, and organizations, we hope to be able to re-invigorate the preservation project and provide today's students a safe place to use, enjoy and call their own.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

We are currently applying for a "Stay on Demolition" with the City of Cambridge and the Waterloo Region District School-board to push the demolition of the amphitheatre to a later date. If we are successful, we will be looking for community partners to help raise awareness about the amphitheatre. Following that, we will be looking for pledges from alumni, community programs, government grants and local businesses. With your help, we can achieve our goal of revitalizing a part of Cambridge's heritage that has long been overlooked.
